Children are very important to Jesus and they are very important to us too. At Crossgates UMC we are excited to partner with families by providing opportunities for even the smallest baby to grow and feel the love of Jesus. Let the children come!

Children’s Worship

We worship with kids at heart. During the 10:30 a.m. worship service we invite the children down front for a special “Children At Worship Time”. Following this, all three-year-olds through third graders are invited to Holy Grounds for Kids Worship. We ask that all pre-school and kindergarten aged children, and 1-3 grade visitors have an adult walk with them to the Holy Grounds building to sign-in. Kids Worship is not held on Communion Sundays to provide children the opportunity to share communion with their families. Communion is typically the first Sunday of the month.

Children’s Worship Leaders Schedule

Clipboards with biblical coloring sheets and crayons are available for children during our worship services. You may pick these up from the baskets at the entrances to the Sanctuary.

Contact information

Your child’s safety is a priority to us, therefore we must have a current Children’s Ministry Contact Information Form on file. Forms are available online and need to be updated annually (August). You can also pick up forms at the Treehouse, SONshine Island and in the Church Administrative Assistant’s office.

Age Specific Ministries

We have ministries aimed toward pre-school and kindergarteners, younger elementary children (1-3rd graders), and tweenagers (4-6th graders). Click on the links below to learn about each group’s focus and ministry opportunities on Sunday and Wednesday nights.
