Rev. John Moore

One of the children of Crossgates named our Senior Pastor “John Brother” which he enjoys being called by all the children of the church. Adults normally call him “Brother John.” When all is said and done, he prefers to be called “John Brother John” so that all the bases are covered.

John enjoys taking snapshots of church activities, reading mystery novels, working straight-forward crossword puzzles, playing bogey/double-bogey golf, and fishing with his four grandchildren: Julia, Sadie, Cash, and Emma.

He is married to the former Nancy Osman of Farmington, Missouri. Nancy is Professor Emeritus of Delta State University in the field of Choral Music Studies. The Moores make their home in the Patrick Farms area.

John is an Ordained Elder of The United Methodist Church. He enjoys his role as preacher, teacher, and pastoral leader as the senior minister of Crossgates United Methodist. And if you ask him, he will tell you, “I love the people called Crossgates United Methodists.”
