Jo Mary Garner

If you like good food, you’ll love Jo Mary’s menus. Jo Mary has spent her life in the field of culinary arts. For over 25 years Jo Mary and her spouse, Willie, lived in Nebraska where she was a hors d’oeuvre chef as well as in the food catering business. Due to her husband’s failing health, they returned to Mississippi and settled in Rankin County. Before coming to Crossgates UMC as the Food Services Manager, Jo Mary worked in Rankin County Schools Child Nutrition and as a Manager for food services at the Girl Scout’s Camp Wahi.

Rarely will you see Jo Mary without a smile on her face. If you do, it probably means someone has not cleaned up after themselves in the church kitchen. She is a ray of sunshine for all who meet her and know her. She enjoys gardening as can be evidenced by all the varieties of flowers on the lawn of her home. She enjoys traveling and seeing new sites. And of no surprise… she loves cooking.
